The short version
We collect your name, phone, and email only when you hand them to us, and we use them to get back to you about your business. We don't sell your information. We don't buy lists. If you want your information gone, email us and it's gone.
Who we are
Network Effect Studios, Suite C, 13756 Kildare Ave, Crestwood, IL 60445. You can reach us at info@networkeffectstudios.com or (312) 847-5572. This policy covers networkeffectstudios.com.
What you give us
If you fill out the form on our site, we collect your name, phone number, and email address. That's the whole form, and all three fields are there so we can actually reach you back.
That goes into our own database, on our own server, so we can keep track of who reached out and whether we got back to them. Only we can see it. We may add a note to your record after we speak, so we remember what you needed.
If you book a call with us, that goes through Google Calendar's booking page, and Google collects whatever you enter there. If you call or email us directly, we have whatever you tell us in that conversation.
We don't ask for payment details anywhere on this site, and we never collect Social Security numbers, bank information, or anything like it through the website.
What gets collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and which links they came in from. That tells us whether the site is doing its job. It collects things like your approximate location (from your IP address), your browser and device type, and which pages you viewed.
We also record when someone submits the contact form, so we can count how many people reached out. That record does not include your name, phone, or email — just the fact that a form was sent.
Why we collect it
- To call or email you back about your business.
- To put together a proposal if you ask for one.
- To understand which parts of our site are working and which aren't.
- To keep the site running and secure.
That's it. We don't use it to build a profile on you, and we don't run advertising trackers on this site.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of outside services to run this site:
- Google — call bookings run through Google Calendar, and site traffic is measured with Google Analytics. Form submissions no longer go to Google; they come straight to us.
- Railway — hosts the site and the database your form submission is stored in. Like any web host, their servers log basic request information such as IP addresses.
- unpkg — delivers one small animation library the site uses. Loading it means your browser makes a request to them.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. The only other time we'd hand anything over is if the law required it.
Cookies
As a visitor, the only cookies you'll pick up here are from Google Analytics, which uses them to tell repeat visits apart from new ones. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on, and the site will keep working normally.
There is one other cookie, but it isn't for you: our own staff login sets a session cookie so we stay signed in to the admin area. It is only ever issued after someone signs in, and it isn't used for tracking.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions, and any notes attached to them, for as long as we might reasonably do business with you, and then we delete them. Analytics data expires on Google's own schedule. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, and it's removed from our database rather than just hidden.
Your choices
Email info@networkeffectstudios.com and you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete it.
- Stop contacting you.
You don't need a reason and we won't make it difficult. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws — ask and we'll honor them.
Kids
This is a site for business owners. It isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child sent us something, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
